Have I Spoiled Your Appetite?

The collaborative group exhibition titled Have I Spoiled Your Appetite? by Eliza Tilbrook, Lauren Gerrard, and Georgina Neal was displayed at the Avionics Foyer Space at Kingston School of Art from March 11th to 15th. This project provided a deep exploration of the subjects of food, the grotesque, and femininity. The artwork showcased deformed and disconcerting renditions of cherished culinary items, strange tools, insects, and a hint of shimmer. 

The collaboration combined my and Gerrard's separate investigations of the female figure with Tilbrook's inclination towards satire and dark humour. Collaboratively, we created a narrative installation that questioned cultural conventions regarding the commercialization and utilisation of women. we wanted to challenge conventional ideas of femininity by using grotesque imagery and examining the connection between the female body and food.
