Bio

Georgina Neal (b. 2002, London) is a multidisciplinary artist based in London. She is currently studying at Kingston School of Art Fine Art. Neal's art practice is centered around the female form and body, incorporating personal experiences and feminist perspectives. However, her work transcends literal depictions of the female figure, instead employing the body as a metaphorical and conceptual vessel to convey broader narratives surrounding womanhood. Throughout this year, Neal has embraced an interdisciplinary approach, adeptly combining several materials and approaches in her practice. The artist has recently developed a strong interest in soft sculpture as her primary focus, and she has been actively experimenting with mixed media to enhance her art process. Utilising spatial manipulation has become a crucial element in Neal's work, enhancing the presentation and impact of her art. As a result, her body of work revolves around the dichotomy of repulsion and attraction to the female body, exploring the complexities and contradictions that shape our perceptions and experiences of the feminine form.
